Tooth Extraction

Preserve the Health of Your Surrounding Teeth with a Tooth Extraction

Severe tooth decay or untreated tooth damage can create problems for your surrounding, healthy teeth. On occasion, a dental extraction is necessary to prevent further decay and the spread of infection or disease.
Your tooth extraction procedure is designed to be a comfortable procedure. Local anesthesia and sedation are available to relieve any pressure you will feel.
The extraction could require your tooth to be sectioned. This enables each portion to be removed without unnecessary damage to your tooth socket and surrounding tissue.
Post extraction care is essential to healthy healing. Blood clot formation stops the bleeding and enhances the healing process. We recommend that you not disturb or dislodge the clot.
Detailed post-extraction instructions will be provided. Each will inform you about after-care, pain management, and dietary guidelines.
